
Sébastien Labelle, Vice President, Policy and Public Affairs at Canada Development Investment Corporation (CDEV), is responsible for CDEV’s policy leadership; leads the strategic engagement with the Government; supports financial and commercial advisory mandates; and supports the active management of the CDEV Group of Companies
Before joining CDEV, Mr. Labelle spent over 25 years in senior roles in the Federal Public Service, most recently at Natural Resources Canada, where he worked to advance major resource projects, led Indigenous consultations, and oversaw programs to develop Canada’s clean energy potential. Mr. Labelle spent eight years at the Department of Finance and the Privy Council Office, where he contributed to several federal budgets, provided advice and direct support to the Prime Minister and Cabinet, and developed a deep understanding of federal decision-making processes. He has also worked on major infrastructure programs and projects at the Department of National Defence, Public-Private Partnerships Canada, and Indigenous Services Canada. Most recently, Mr. Labelle was as the executive lead for the Canada Innovation Corporation.
Mr. Labelle holds a Master of Public Administration, a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science, and a certificate in Public Sector Leadership and Governance from the University of Ottawa.
